Since I'm not asked that many questions, I can't really call anything
"Frequently Asked". However, from the sparse few that I have been given,
I have pulled together the following common questions and answers.
- Do you have a resume?
-
Frankly put: This whole website is my resume. But for those that will require
it, I can provide one or you can download my resume here.
- Do you create any OGC (Open Gaming Content) or otherwise free material?
-
For that answer, check out the
Download Page.
- How long does it take you to create your pieces?
-
Depends on the project and what others I am doing at the time.
If I know the subject well, a 5,000 word article and research
can be done within an afternoon or two. My average turn around time
is about 1 month for a 32 page adventure, and 2 months for a 32 page
sourcebook.
- When do you find the time to write?
-
Between two kids, my wife, and life in general, I find it where I can
(usually between 11pm and 5am).
- Where do you get your inspiration?
-
Friends, family, gaming, movies, television, or some strange combination of all. Just looking
around the room can give me an idea or two as life yields unusual fruits.
- How much do you charge for a book?
-
Well, since most of the work I do is contractual, I guess this is
kind of a tacky question. However, I can make custom designed
adventures or adventure source material for the general public (your
choice of game system). I charge between $0.04 and $0.06 per word.
Get in touch with me on my contact page to see what I may charge for
specific projects.
- Will you be releasing more content?
-
Definitely, there's lots that I've got that I want to share.
I'm just not sure as to when I'll be able to put them up.
